we've all been there...
…staring at a blank page, fingers hovering over the keyboard, mind spinning in frustrating circles while producing absolutely nothing usable. That’s exactly where I found myself – banging my head against the wall, trying to force creativity that simply wasn’t flowing.
After an hour of this mental torture, something finally clicked. The harder I pushed against this resistance, the more formidable it became. My frustration had become a wall between me and what I wanted to create.
Instead of continuing this futile battle, I made a crucial choice. I surrendered completely and turned toward my spiritual practice – the very thing I often recommend to others but sometimes forget to apply myself.
The Unexpected
What followed was nothing short of remarkable. As I settled into the meditation, time seemed to both expand and contract. The resistance I had been fighting against became the very subject I could observe with gentle curiosity rather than frustration.
When I finally opened my eyes, I was genuinely shocked to discover that 22 minutes had passed – the experience had felt like merely 5. This timelessness is often a hallmark of having touched something genuine.
This recording emerged from that exact moment of surrender. It contains the raw, unfiltered process of meeting resistance rather than fighting against it. My hope is that it might serve as a companion for you when you find yourself stuck in similar patterns – whether in creativity, relationships, or any place where you feel that familiar wall of resistance.
When you’re ready to stop banging your head against your own walls, perhaps this meditation can help you meet yourself exactly where you are.
